**Currently on hold due to Covid-19** -WPT Study Day 11th June 2020  Patrick Hamilton’s  ‘The West Pier’ followed by tea or cocktails at the Metropole Hotel

Led by Sarah Tobias, WPT is offering its first study day. We will study social, cultural, local and West Pier history, characters and events – all drawn from Patrick Hamilton’s excellent novel, followed by tea or/and cocktails at the Hotel Metropole.

The morning session will be followed by a short seafront tour. Bring a packed lunch to eat on the beach or forecourt – or go to one of the  several nearby cafes. After our afternoon session we will cross the road to the Metropole Hotel for afternoon tea.  The hotel features in the novel.

Illustrated with powerpoint slideshow.
Please read Patrick Hamilton’s short novel before the day.
