The Sunken Ballroom

Composer Paul Lewis’s new orchestral work, ‘The Sunken Ballroom’, inspired by the West Pier Concert Hall, will be premiered in November by the Sussex Symphony Orchestra Paul’s mother, also a musician, played in the Concert Hall orchestra in the 1930’s. Her instrument, a John Gay banjolin, will poignantly be played by guitarist Ian Kearey on the night (9th November)! Here’s a photo of Paul and Ian with the banjolin.
