On Tuesday at the Grand Hotel i360 Chief Engineer John Roberts gave a fascinating talk about designing and building Brighton’s newest landmark. About 130 people attended, mostly Trust members but also i360 enthusiasts, local engineers and others interested to hear the technical story behind this extremely challenging project. On the evening of Sunday 23rd August the final can was inserted and the i360 tower reached its complete 162m height.
