Nine year old Roxy Toyne from Brighton has won BBC Radio 2’s children’s short story competition for her entry ‘The Starlings of the West Pier’. It’s a wonderful evocation of the starling murmuration over the pier and how it helps a child come to terms with the death of her grandmother.
