Coast: Our Island Story with Nick Crane
The West Pier 150th anniversary programme continues on Monday November 28th with a one-off talk from Nick Crane. Best known for his work presenting BAFTA-winning BBC2 series Coast, Sussex born Nick has authored over eleven books and spent eight years researching and writing his latest book The Making of the British Landscape. He been has been President of the Royal Geographical Society since 2015.
Discussing one of the most diverse and beautiful coastlines in the world, and with insights from his prize-winning books, the talk will give a fresh view of Britain’s past, exploring the deeply rooted story of how we have shaped our habitat and how it has shaped us over 12 millennia.
Prior to the evening talk, Nick will be signing copies of his latest book The Making of the British Landscape at Waterstones bookshop.
